Medeillin Colombia

Overview:
Incredibly over rated city, with some cool attractions. Medellín, Colombia is probably the most livable of all of the Colombian cities, with modern infrastructure and an expansive metro system but there are definitely better places to vacation as a single man or a married couple for that matter.

But there are a few cool things to do at night and some attractions worth checking out in Medellín, Colombia.

The Women:
“I’m an elementary school teacher but if you want to have sex with me then it will be $50.” That’s what I was told by a grade school teacher that I met walking around Parque Llleras in the Poblado section of town. If you search online you’ll likely hear people raving about how attractive the women are here and that is incredibly ridiculous. There are many beautiful women here but to say that the women here are out of this world is a gross overstatement. Women here tend to be fair skinned and petit and are very welcoming of foreign men. You will need to know some Spanish to function efficiently here but simply pulling out your phone and asking for the number will work in many cases. All of the attention brought by foreign men that travel here has led to the influx of many sex tourists. Sex tourists have given foreigners in Medeillin a bad reputation so many girls in this city won’t sleep with you unless you are offering them money because they assume that is the only thing you are interested in and if you are going to use them they want to use you as well. Medeillin is the gold digger capital of Colombia so if you are planning on having fun with the ladies make sure you bring some funds cause simply paying for her taxi probably won’t be enough. With that being said your best opportunity to game will be to meet women around the Parque Lleras area and hit any mall in the El Poblado neighborhood.

Must DO:
Ride ATV’s through the mountains for some serious fun. Medeillin Adventure Trails rents them out and will have a guide ride along with you as well.

Nightlife:
The nightlife center is Parque Lleras which is located in the Poblado neighborhood. Gustos is my favorite club but it certainly isn’t cheap. The bars are fairly priced; hit Patrick’s Irish Pub for a traditional pub experience. La Setenta is the nightlife area that the locals hit so go there for a more traditional and cheaper experience. Most people that go to clubs in Medeillin go to sit and drink at tables with friends so the clubs and bars are not the place to meet single women. Most single women who are seated alone in these establishments are pros.

Food:
Restaurante Hatoviejo is a chain restaurant in Medeillin and has some of the best food that the city has to offer, try the Bandeja Paisa as that is the dish that Medeillin is known for.

Where to Stay:
Anywhere in El Poblado is good and is central to nightlife/ restaurants.

Getting Around:
Use the metro system as it is almost comparable to those in developed countries and generally safe; Google Maps can help you locate what stop to get off at. Taxi’s and Uber’s shouldn’t run you anymore than $10 and in most cases even less.
