If you’ve stumbled upon the beauty that is Bangkok, you’re in for multiple fun and exciting adventures. It’s the capital of Thailand and is an extremely busy tourist spot.
That’s not surprising, given the number of ways you can enjoy your time there. Keep reading to chart out the itinerary for your trip to Bangkok.
Elephant Rides
Elephants are second to only the women here in terms of the quality of their rides. That being said, an elephant ride is a rare experience. Unless you’re traveling to South Africa soon, you probably won’t be able to experience it. There are a moderate number of ethical elephant sanctuaries. Visit one, play with the elephants (it’s pretty cathartic), and take a ride around the designated area.
Street Food Tour
You might not have heard too much about Bangkok’s food. That’s understandable, since there are other things that often attract your attention. Food gets relegated to the background, but if you pay attention to it, you’ll realize just how savory Thai food is. You’ll also learn a bit about the culture. You should definitely take a street food tour and eat out.
The Women
Speaking of eating out, if you’re a foreigner, you’re in luck. The women in Bangkok are going to treat you like royalty, since foreigners are their gold standard. There’s still some racial bias here (white guys get an edge over black guys). However, there isn’t much of a noticeable difference.
If you’re foreign, pulling girls should be a cakewalk. Though, if you’re not into it, be wary of ladyboys. They’re not as prevalent as they are in Pattaya, but they’re still there.
Clubbing
Fortunately, this section isn’t about seals; it’s about Bangkok’s nightlife. The city is huge, so there isn’t a single nightlife center. You’ll find clubs and bars metastasized throughout the city. If you’re into hip-hop, and are a black man trying to get laid, visit the hip-hop clubs, like the Sugar Club. They’ll have your preferred kind of music and women. If you’re white, rock and house clubs are fertile territory for you.
Thai Massage
You’ve probably heard of or seen this kind of massage. However, unless you’ve been to Thailand before, you’ve probably only experienced a bad imitation. You can’t beat the real thing. The massage is a mix of acupressure and yoga conducted by people who’ve grown up with these traditions and cultures. They’re likely much better at Thai massages than anyone anywhere else. After all, they’re not called American nor Spanish massages.
The Sights
What trip would be complete without visiting the cultural and historical monuments a city has on offer. You’re spoiled for choice, but the Reclining Buddha, Grand Palace, and Jim Thompson house have to make it onto your itinerary. They’re loaded with history and are just plain marvelous to look at it.
This isn’t an exhaustive list of the things you can do in Bangkok, but they’re definitely some of the most fun things you can do there. Don’t limit your itinerary to just these.
